I had a great experience with this contractor. They originally scheduled my measurement appointment about 12 days after contacting them seemed a little long. Lucky for me, they were able to come out early (whitin 5 days) due to a cancellation. They said the install would take another 12 or so days after the measurements were taken but were able to do the install within about 5 days. ***I did not pick out my own piece of granite BUT the piece they picked for me was of high quality which exceeded my expectations based on the example/model I saw at their Malden store front. ***The install crew was very organized and did a wonderful job communicating their estimated arrival time (I had to leave work during the day), placing, sealing, and cleaning up all the dust created from drilling the faucet hole. ***I was on a tighter timeframe since this was a remodel project and not new construction. ***I communicated with the associate who manages the schedule regularly to try and get an earlier measurement appointment and it worked for me. It could have taken a lot longer but the team was very responsive to my requests which made the experience very pleasant. ***I would refer them to anyone but would caution they book up quickly and take a little longer than others so plan accordingly. The price was right, the quality was above expectations, so I was more than happy to wait a little longer for the job to be completed properly. **********Overall I couldn't have had a better experience. To be brutally honest the reviews I've read on yelp would have kept me from using this contractor. I'm happy I didn't look there first. This is why I'm writing such a long review going over my experience. They are definitely worth contacting. The remodel project is still ongoing. I am writing this as a fresh review. This is what I did and this is how it turned out! Maybe the reviewers should understand mistakes happen and the readers of the reviews should remember that most people don't review at Yelp if they had a good experience only if they had a terrible experience. This review is the complete opposite of what I read here which is why I am writing this one.

I called and the phone was answered promptly. I set up an appt and they came out for templating. I had an angled sink and a 8 inch overhang. The original install date was Feb 14th. Unfortunately there were a couple of snow storms and they had questions about my angled sink. So today the 20th was the install. They came out at 12 sharp - they had told me they would arrive between 12-2pm. They were professional and sealed the granite. One of the back splash pieces was not perfect so I asked them to sand it down, which they DID right on the spot. They installed my sink and cut the holes for the faucet and soap dispenser. They sealed the pieces and cleaned up. I offered water and they were on their way! In 30 minutes or so they installed my granite counter top. They had by far the BEST price and the customer service was no different from others. Thank you Excel Granite!  (Pic at gallery below)

I have had an excellent experience with  Excel Granite from the beginning.  The salesperson provided ideas that helped us get our kitchen remodeled, including ideas beyond just granite.  He was always prompt and courteous and on top of all of this, the same granite elsewhere was priced much higher.  We had the kitchen and two bathrooms done over all with Excel and I hope that you don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews on here as they aren't always the best ones to trust.  I've uploaded a before and after shot so you can see how our kitchen turned out. The best experience. I remodeled my kitchen about two months ago and was looking for a company to install granite countertops. A co-worker of mine recomended me to Excel granite in Malden because he had a great experience with them redoing his kitchen and his daughter's apartment kitchen. He told me that the service was great , the instalation great and the price was very very good . I called them, went to see the granite , got a quote for the price and I could not  beat it. Two days later they came to my house, measured everything and five days later called to let me know when they could install it. Two days after they came and instaled  the granite countertops. They came out beautiful and perfect. Better than we had expected. My wife and family are sooooo happy with the new kitchen that we spend most of our time there. They made an appointment and arrived on time. After measurements and and a few questions, I had a quote. The quote was very reasonable and I expected it to be much more. A few days later, they came and installed the new countertop and it matched everything else very well. The measurements were precise and accurate. I will use excel granite on my others properties because they are very good and polite. Else they guarantee the best priceThat's my experience and I highly recommend them if you need granite or marble.
